Report: Jazz has ‘shut down’ teams asking about All-Star Donovan Mitchell
The Utah Jazz had another disappointing end to the 2021-22 season, failing to make it past the opening round for the third time in four years.
On July 1, Jazz changed the best three-time star to Rudy Gobert in a match big deal to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The move indicates that a sell-off could be underway in Utah and the team’s other three-time star, Donovan Mitchellwill be processed next.
However, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Utah turned down teams asking about Mitchell.
“They shut down any groups that were called about trying to trade for Mitchell,” Wojnarowski said. “Jazz is committed to moving forward with him as their foundational player.”
