Report: Cezanne died after a fungal infection


Classified bet winners Cezanne a $3.65 million purchase as a minor three years ago, died after developing a fungal infection discovered in June, trainer Todd Pletcher told the Hall of Fame. Purebred Daily News.

The son of Curlin race for St. Elias Stable and Mrs. John Magnier, Michael Tabor, and Derrick Smith of Coolmore, made $347,000 while compiling a 4-1-1 record in seven starts. His last start came this year in his 5-year-old season, finishing second in the Oaklawn Mile Stakes (G3) on April 2.
