Renault Triber, Kwid, Kiger price, engine and safety updates: RDE Compliant
All three models now have new safety features as standard; Kwid has a new variant.
renault updated the entire line of cars in India – Kwid, Tribe, Kiger – to match the upcoming emission norms. All three models now also receive new safety and convenience features as standard.
In addition to these updates, the French automaker has also introduced a new variant of the Kwid. Renault has also opened reservations for the updated Kwid, Triber and Kiger at its dealerships, but has yet to announce pricing.

Renault Kwid, Triber, Kiger: get RDE-compliant engines
The three models continue to be powered by their respective petrol engines, which have now been updated to meet upcoming Real Driving Emissions regulations. All three models will be equipped with a self-diagnostic device that will continuously monitor the vehicle’s emissions while driving, along with other key emission devices such as a catalytic converter and oxygen sensor.
The tribe equipped with a 3-cylinder petrol engine, 1.0 liter, capacity of 72 horsepower with 5-speed manual transmission or AMT gearbox. Meanwhile, the Kiger can also be equipped with the same naturally aspirated engine as the Triber which is only offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Kiger There is also the option of a 100hp, 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual or CVT transmission.

Interestingly, Renault has also introduced a new RXE variant of the Kwid priced at Rs 4.69 lakh and equipped with a 1.0-litre petrol powertrain. This variant now serves as the entry-level version of the Kwid, replacing the previous RXL variant that featured a 0.8-liter powertrain. This implies that Renault has decided to ditch the 800cc engine completely out of its product line due to low demand.
Renault Kwid, Triber, Kiger: more standard safety features
As part of the 2023 model year update, Renault has also implemented a number of standard safety features on the three models. These include the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Furthermore, the Kwid now has convenient features such as LED turn signals on the rearview mirror and steering wheel-mounted controls. Meanwhile, the Triber MPV now has chrome door handles and new seat covers.
