Jio AirFiber and Jio Cloud PC services were introduced during Reliance Industries’ 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday. JioAirFiber allows users to access Gigabit speed Internet without any wires while Jio Cloud PC is a virtual PC hosted in the cloud using without any hardware requirements. Reliance Jio has branded its fifth-generation mobile network service as Jio True 5G, and both Jio AirFiber and Jio Cloud PC will operate on it.
Reliance Jio President Akash Ambani, during RIL’s 45th AGM, demonstrated the new Jio AirFiber and Jio Cloud PC. As mentioned, JioAirFiber allows users to access Gigabit Internet through home and office wireless networks.
The JioAirFiber Home Gateway is a single wireless device that can be plugged into a power source and will act as a Wi-Fi hotspot. It will be connected to high-speed Internet by Jio’s True 5G.
On the other hand, Jio Cloud PC is basically a virtual PC hosted in the cloud via Jio True 5G connection. The concept replaces physical laptops and desktops and doesn’t have any major hardware requirements. It can be used to connect multiple PCs, and users only need to pay within the scope of use.
Reliance Jio has spend Rs. Invest 2 lakh crore to roll out 5G services in India in the next two months.
