Maserati .’s redesigned GranTurismo is almost ready for its official debut later this year, but the Italian carmaker recently started offering sneak peeks of its new big touring coupe.
Maserati released a video in early September showing the new electric version, GranTurismo Folgoreand confirm some of that vehicle’s performance specifications.
On Wednesday, the automaker unveiled two additional versions, the GranTurismo Modena and the GranTurismo Trofeo, and confirmed they will arrive with the same model. twin turbocharger 3.0 liter V-6 suitable for Maserati MC20. The engine produces 621 hp and 538 lb-ft of torque in the supercar, and will deliver similar numbers in the new GranTurismo.
The cars are displayed with the Maserati trident symbol and the writing “75th”. The script is a nod to this year’s 75th anniversary of the Maserati A6 1500, a car that Maserati hails as the forerunner of its grand tourer line.

The electric Folgore is confirmed with a trio of engines, one at the front axle and two at the rear, which will deliver a combined output of over 1,200 hp. That translates to a 0-60 mph acceleration in 2.6 seconds and a top speed in excess of 200 mph.
Maserati did not reveal battery details, but said it could increase its range by 100 km in 10 minutes of charging using a DC fast charger, thanks to an 800-volt electrical system that features an inverter similar to the one used by the company. used in Formula E, the electric race. that series Maserati will compete from 2023.
Maserati, like most major automakers, is committed to an EV future. The automaker has introduced a new electric version of its Folgore 2023 Grecale Cross, and confirmed an electric option for the MC20. We’ll also see a redesigned GranTurismo Convertible (GranCabrio in other markets) at some point, and it will likely come in a Folgore guise, presumably exclusively.
Additionally, Maserati will roll out redesigned versions of the Quattroporte and Levante, which will likely run solely on electricity. Ghibli won’t repeat itself, Maserati has confirmed, at least in its current form.
