The Realme GT Neo 5 has been officially confirmed to launch on February 9, 2023. The series will launch as the successor to the Realme GT Neo 3. Chinese smartphone maker Quoc chose to drop the GT Neo 4 moniker and instead launched the Realme GT Neo 5. The launch will begin at 11:30 a.m. IST on February 9. The device is also said to be showcased at Mobile World Congress 2023, which is scheduled to be held at the end of February.
According to a parcel by Realme on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, Realme GT Neo 5 will be officially announced in China during a virtual event starting at 2pm local time (11:30am IST) on February 9. The company shared a poster in the confirmation post. that the Realme GT Neo 5 will launch with 120W fast charging support.
However, Myself has yet to reveal any details surrounding the global launch of the Realme GT Neo 5.
According to a former report, the now confirmed Realme GT Neo 5 has also been spotted on the Geekbench benchmark website database. A recent SlashLeaks report also added a listing that seems to suggest a 150W fast-charging-enabled version of the Realme GT Neo 5, with 16GB of RAM. It can run on Android 13 with the back of Realme UI 4.0 on top.
The possibility of Realme launching 2 versions of Realme GT Neo 5 sooner shown in a report suggesting the device has a 5000mAh battery along with a 240W fast charging version and a 150W fast charging version.
device is expected for up to 1TB of storage. In regards to optics, the smartphone is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main sensor. Although the megapixel count has not been confirmed in the official post, it does confirm the presence of the Sony IMX890 sensor. The main sensor is expected to be followed by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.
