Razor makes a two-seater cargo scooter
Razor once again blurring the line between e-bikes and small cargo bikes with its latest product, EcoSmart Cargo. It looks like a more complete and premium version of the company’s EcoSmart Metro, but with a sturdy rear rack that can hold a basket or an adult passenger seat, allowing you to bring a friend along.
Meanwhile, the driver will put his feet on a wide bamboo floor (covered with duct tape) containing a 1000W motor combined with a 46.8V battery underneath. Razor says it can reach speeds of 19.9 miles per hour and has a range of about 16.6 miles, or a continuous run time of up to 50 minutes. That’s not a huge range, but potentially just enough for someone to go to work (or school) and back.
That power will be transmitted, via a chain, to a disc brake-equipped rear wheel that can be controlled with standard bicycle brakes on the handlebars. Rounding out the package are integrated LED headlights and taillights, and 16-inch pneumatic tires for a smoother off-road experience.
The EcoSmart Cargo is available to order from today, priced at $1,099.99, with deliveries expected to begin in mid-September.
