In the first day of this month, Ray J shared that he has a tattoo of his sister and best friend Brandy on his leg. After the big reveal about the tattoo, he received some mixed comments as the artwork got a special twist.
TMZ caught Ray J and asked him about the people who criticized him for the tattoo, and he said,
“That’s my leg, that’s my sister. She’s a little upset about it, but if you look at Mashkow’s page, he’s one of the ugliest tattoos ever. [artists] and it’s so hard to get him to fall in love with you, it’s like having booked for two years. “
The tattoo shows Brandy with graffiti on his face and red eyes, but Ray J explains that it’s just Mashkow’s style of work.
“But I love my sister, it’s just a symbol for me to say thank you for putting me in. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be here. I humbly just wish she would just help me out,” he said. “I love my sister, she doesn’t like tattoos either,” he added before walking away.
As shared earlier, one of the most special things about the tattoo is that Brandy has the words “Best Friend” on his forehead.
Not only did Ray J say that his sister was his best friend on multiple occasions, but that was also the title of one of Brandy’s hit records from her 1994 album of the same name.
Back in 2019, Ray J performed the song for his sister when she was honored at the BMI R&B and Hip-Hop Awards.
