Rate every Kingdom Hearts game in the mainstream
Kingdom Hearts is one of the longest-running franchises in games, including not only the main entries but also a ton of subtitles (and yes, we know subtitles are pretty essential to understanding the story of the game. series). It combines two things that, on paper, should never have worked – Final Fantasy and similar RPG elements with Disney characters and worlds – but somehow it struck a chord. and fans have fallen in love with this creative combination.
With 20 years of history behind it, beloved characters (both the original and Disney’s), and more reminders of the importance of friendship and heart than any other series, it’s hard to let go. through Kingdom Hearts’ impact on the gaming community. However, given that rich history, there are plenty of highs and lows, and as a result there are clear highlights. Game Informer staff took on a more difficult task than understanding Kingdom Hearts’ story: rating its games.
Here’s our ranking of the main Kingdom Hearts games from worst to best. By that we mean you won’t find the mobile game or Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage here. The mobile entries, while packed with key story beats, feel too different from the “main” games to compare fairly.
