Random: Pokémon and All Nippon Airways collaborate on airline safety video

All Nippon Airways, a Japanese airline headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, has teamed up with The Pokémon Company to produce a new airline safety video starring some of your favorite Pocket Monsters.

As highlighted by VGCThe video will be shown on both the “Pikachu Jet NH” and “Eevee Jet NH” starting August 15, 2024, which is… yesterday, at the time of writing.

In an accompanying press release, All Nippon Airways stated:

“With this partnership, we look forward to bringing excitement to our customers and providing in-flight safety videos that all ages can enjoy.”

This is definitely a great way to draw more eyes to the screen when videos like this are played at the beginning of a long journey; we’ve seen enough of these over the years, so it’s nice to see something a little different.

We especially loved the scene where Jigglypuff looked like he was about to beat up a gentleman for vaping in the cabin. It was awesome.

All Nippon Airways has collaborated with The Pokémon Company several times, one of the most famous examples being perhaps the ANA Puzzle Swap puzzle board offered through SpotPass on the 3DS in 2012.
