Random: Last Pokémon on 3DS Online players share messages of thanks
The last remaining player plays Pokémon X & Y via online servers Nintendo 3DS shared a message of thanks after lasting 28 days, 23 hours and 30 minutes after officially shutting down.
Known only as ‘Amanda’, the player’s message was relayed online by Joziken (one of the Nintendo Network’s ‘Elite Four’) via X (Thank, GameRadar). She said “I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who supported me over the past month as I continued online, I never thought I would be the last Pokemon player on the Nintendo Network, but it happened anyway.”
She went on to say that it was “the end of an era” before expressing hope that “someday in some form or fashion [the Nintendo Network] return” (yes, that’s some wishful thinking right there).
Still, almost 29 days is an impressive achievement, and it just shows how passionate Nintendo fans really are. According to current estimates, there are currently 3 players left on the server: Fishguy6564 on Mario Kart 7, SlitherySheep on Super Mario Maker and Lcd101 on Splatoon. Just recently, xc_omoroid Be the last player still online in Xenoblade X Chronicles before being disconnected on May 21.
