Star of “Never Have I Ever” Ramona Young had a pretty fashionable entrance at Trainerspring runway show of 2023, taking place on an imaginary pier at Park Avenue Armory in New York Fashion Week on September 12. The 24-year-old rising star opted for a bright knitted dress for the occasion, smartly styled with Coach’s ever-popular crossbody bag.
“The dress I wore was so soft and lovely, so I had fun adding a little edge to it with sunglasses, choker rings and boots.”
“There are so many new, unique looks this season, and I’m excited about the Scooby-Doo partnership,” Young told POPSUGAR of the runway show, where Lil Nas X debuted a model as the brand’s newest ambassador. “However, there was something about the blue knit dress that stood out to me, so I chose it as a wild choice.” Young was attracted to the design primarily for its nostalgic quality, a theme in the spring 2023 collection that focused on “love” garments that became more beautiful and imperfect according to age. Stuart Vevers crafted pieces using leather substitutes from soccer balls, hand-knit fisherman sweaters and distressed denim.
Young says her own everyday wardrobe usually consists of clothes that fit, are comfortable but still chic. “I look at the color, the silhouette, and most importantly, how I feel in it,” she says. Her Coach dress at New York Fashion Week finally had all those boxes checked. “I was hooked on the way it made me feel. I’m not sure I could pull it off, but once I tried it on, we all knew it was one.
