“All products and medicines manufactured by Patanjali are subject to regulatory standards, meeting all statutory processes and international standards with the highest quality and research in the Ayurvedic tradition, with the help of more than 500 scientists,” the company said in a statement.

“The letter was written and circulated in the media on 9 November 2022 in a manner sponsored by Ayurveda and Unani Services. Uttarakhand has so far not been made available to Patanjali Sansthan in any way.” .

“The Department must correct its mistake and take appropriate action against the person involved in this conspiracy, or else, to punish those responsible for this conspiracy along with compensation for physical damage. damages caused to Patanjali, the organization will take legal action,” the company said.

Reports in several newspapers on Thursday said the Uttarakhand government had asked Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved to stop production of five products the company had advertised as a treatment for blood pressure, diabetes, goiter, glaucoma and high cholesterol.

The Ayurveda and Unani licensing authority in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, has directed manufacturer Divya Pharmacy to discontinue production of Madhugrit, Eyegrit, Thyrogrit, BPgrit and Lipidom, advertised under Patanjali’s range of ayurvedic health products, The Telegraph reported. .

Order issued by Dr. GCS. Jangpangi, licensing officer, Uttarakhand Ayurvedic and Unani Services, and accused Patanjali of misleading advertising, The Hindu reported.

According to the Hindustan Times, the action was taken in response to a complaint filed by Kerala-based ophthalmologist KV Babu in July earlier this year. KV Babu submitted another complaint to the State Licensing Authority (SLA) on October 11 via email, the newspaper said.
