Srivastava’s condition has remained unchanged since that day despite the angioplasty.
According to hospital sources, Raju Srivastava died at 10:20am. “I got a call from my family about half an hour ago saying that he is no more. It is really unfortunate news. He has been fighting in the hospital for more than 40 days,” Dipoo Srivastava told PTI.
On August 10, Srivastava suffered a serious cardiac arrest while on a treadmill. He fell during practice. “He was doing his daily exercise and he was on the treadmill when he suddenly fell down,” his cousin Ashok Srivastava told the press the same day.
Soon after, he was admitted to AIIMS hospital in New Delhi and underwent angioplasty on the same day.
He received angioplasty on August 10
Also known as balloon angioplasty and percutaneous angioplasty, this process is used to widen arteries and veins that are blocked or narrowed by atherosclerosis.
The purpose behind angioplasty is to break up fatty plaque that builds up in the blood vessels and is recommended for people whose heart function is already threatened.
Cardiac arrest during exercise
Srivastava’s state of health has left his fans and followers shocked and saddened. During his heart attack, several questions were raised about how safe exercise is for heart health. According to his cousin, he is still training regularly.
According to experts, heart attacks during exercise are inevitable in cases where blood vessel blockages are overlooked or undiagnosed. Sometimes exercise can cause electrical disturbances in the heart that lead to cardiac arrest. Strenuous exercise can also cause fatty plaques to rupture, leading to a heart attack.
