Rajasthan: Two-year-old girl falls into 200-foot-deep borewell, rescued after seven hours in Dausa | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Thousands of people including teams of national disaster response force (NDRF), the state disaster relief force (SDRF), civil defense and locals applauded as two-year-old Ankita was rescued from a 200-foot-deep well that she fell into Thursday morning near the village. Abhaneri in Rajasthan‘S Dausa.
Unlike the usual way of digging a parallel hole, this time the NDRF, SDRF and locals teams used a pipe and placed a device-like ring attached to the end of the pipe. The pipe is lowered into the well so that the ring is snug against the girl’s waist.
However, the girl was so cheerful and warm, she was taken to the Dausa government hospital for observation.
Deva Gurjar and Laali – Anikta’s father and mother – were in tears as the child fell into the well.
At 11 a.m., the girl fell into the well and her grandfather sounded the alarm. Soon, teams of NDRF, SDRF and civil defense rushed to the spot.
First, the authorities decided to dig a parallel hole and supply oxygen and a camera trap was placed in the well.

“Initially, we dug a parallel hole because we found out that it was a bore well, in which the girl’s grandfather had uprooted the pipes and they were going to close this well.
