Film and television star Rainn Wilson, known for her role as Dwight on The Office, has made a significant name change to help raise awareness about climate change. He made the announcement on Twitter this week during the United Nations climate change conference, COP27, taking place in Egypt.
Wilson got his new name through the website Arctic Risk Name Generatorallows people to enter their name and get a name based on climate change instead.

Whether Wilson plans to legally and officially change his name to Rainnfall Heat Wave Extreme Winter Winter Wilson remains to be seen. He said he was unable to change his name on Twitter due to Elon Musk’s recent takeover of the company and new regulations in place. He did change his name on Instagram.
He said in his Twitter video that the name change was a “cheap little stunt to help save planet Earth.”
“We need world leaders to act at COP27! The Arctic is melting at a rate of millions of liters per second, but this problem can’t seem to make a name for itself, so we will name it,” he said.
Wilson said he is petitioning regulars and celebrities to change their names to help promote awareness of climate change. He said Cardi B could change her name to “Cardi the Arctic B melt” and Jack Black to “Jack Black carbon is killing us.” He also suggested “Amy Poehler bear is endangered.”
In a chilling opening of The Office, Dwight plays an Earth-loving character known as “Recyclops” who wants to teach people how to save the planet. However, the Recyclops quickly abandoned Earth Day, turned evil, and vowed to destroy the Earth.
