A video showing a railway employee cheating a passenger in a cash transaction at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station has surfaced on social media. The clip was shared on Twitter by a user named Rail Whispers on Friday. The incident took place on Tuesday, according to the post’s caption.

In the video, a man sitting behind a ticket counter is caught cheating money. Despite accepting Rs 500, the railway worker is said to be trying to deceive passengers by replacing his banknote with Rs 20 and demanding more money to issue a ticket worth Rs 125.

In the clip, when a customer asked to take the Superfast Gwalior train to order a Rs 500 bill, the railway staff swapped the bill for a Rs 20 note in his pocket. He even demanded more money to issue a ticket worth Rs 125.

Immediately after being shared, the video went viral on social media. It even attracted the attention of Seva Railway and the Delhi Division, Northern Railways (DRM Delhi NR). Responding to the post, the railway officials concerned said, “The employee has been arrested and disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against him”.

Meanwhile, in the comments section, some netizens also expressed their reactions to the video. One user wrote: “This has happened to me many times in Chennai. The organized hooliganism of some Railway employees has given them the courage to commit such crimes.”

Another wrote: “Danger, first time I see magic like that, I thought, if he didn’t take the clip, what would happen?” “Shame on the scammers and extorting other people’s hard-earned money. Totally disgusting. MUST ACTION,” a third commented.
