To get started with this recipe, first, cut the bread slices into small squares. Now, in a bowl, add the curd, salt and water. Mix. Pour this curd mixture over the bread cubes. Use the back of a spoon to mash it and let it steep for about 5 minutes.
Next, heat the oil in a pan. Add the mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, and peanuts. Mix. Add minced shallot, curry leaves, green chillies, ginger and salt. Now, add water and combine well. Add soaked bread balls, chopped tomatoes, and buttermilk. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Dahi upma bread is ready!
