MANILA, Philippines – Lindsey Vander Weide wrapped up the 2022 Premier League Volleyball Confederation in a stellar manner with the Grand Final MVP award after delivering a second straight title to Petro Gazz on Tuesday. at the Philsports Arena.
The American Import was crowned the best player of the Finals after scoring 19 points to finish Petro Gazz’s Cignal Wipeout, 25-17, 22-25, 25-12, 25-22, in Game 2 of the Finals.
Vander Weide became the second Finals MVP from Petro Gazz after Janisa Johnson crowned the team first in 2019.
She was also named the tournament’s Best Foreign Player, where she averaged 23,375 points per game in elimination matches.
The University of Oregon product is the second Angel to win the imported goods award after Wilma Salas won it three years ago.
Vander Weide got his career-high 34 points in Game 1 when Petro Gazz got his first lifesteal with one Win 25-21, 27-25, 37-35 via Cignal last Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
