MANILA, Philippines – F2 logistics star Kalei Mau is keeping upbeat amid the backdrop her team is facing during the 2022 Premier League Volleyball Consolidation Conference.

Mau’s 20-point PVL debut was ruined by Chery Tiggo wins 23-25, 21-25, 22-25 because Cargo Movers missed the service of Lindsay Stalzer and libero Dawn Macandili on Tuesday at Philsports Arena.

But the Filipino-American striker is receiving their first defeat as they believe they will come back stronger despite their biggest tweaks being to turn Aby Marano and Ara Galang into their liberators.

“One thing about this sport is that you have to make adjustments and I have confidence in my teammates that we will be able to make those adjustments and feel each other’s role like we all have. roles that we must know. Of course, it was a little stressful, a little refreshing, but it was the best match to do that,” Mau said after the loss.

“The first is always like the ones you just can’t stand and figure out what you need to do,” she adds.

Despite the setback, Mau praised Galang and Marano for thriving in their new roles, especially the veteran strikerwho is still the vocal leader in the back row.

“Incredible. I love that they get to take on roles they would never even imagine being in,” Mau said. “I’m glad Aby can be like another voice behind his back. me even though she’s not in the same network as me her energy is a big loss we don’t have right now but it’s nice to have her behind me when i hit it’s just a bit Just more fire.”

The prolific outside attacker is just happy to be back home for the first time since last year’s PNVF Champions League.

“It’s great. It’s like my second home so it feels good to be back with my teammates and to be back on the court. It’s fun to have fun,” she said.

Mau said the Cargo Movers are determined to tackle their first game of being faulty in reality ahead of Thursday’s match against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.

Mau said: “Tomorrow we will have to go back to practice and get to work on it.
