interior minister Amit Shah also tweeted to pay his respects to the staff. “I pay my respects to the brave soldiers who gave their lives in the horrific terrorist attack in Pulwama. The country has never forgotten their sacrifice. Courage and loyalty. Their indomitable courage will always be an inspiration in the fight against terrorism,” he wrote on Twitter.
During the attack, 40 CRPF . function were killed after a suicide bomber drove a car laden with explosives into their convoy.
The attack was orchestrated by the Pakistani terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammedled by Maulana Masood Azhar based in Bahawalpur.
At least 19 terrorists were involved in the plot of Pulwama attack. Of these, eight terrorists have been neutralized and seven are in prison while four are based in Pakistan, the sources said. India avenged the attack by carrying out air strikes in Balakot, destroying Jaish terrorist camps.
Azhar, the main mastermind, is currently living under the protection of the ISI.
