According to a new report, Lisa Wilkinson will not be returning to The Project in July as originally planned.
The TV presenter, who has been absent from live segments of the news program since June, will return in August, The Australian announced on Sunday.
Wilkinson has ‘quietly and safely left Australia for Los Angeles’ and ‘will now make the US her base’ for several weeks, the publication reported.

Lisa, 62, will spend time in ‘Hollywood and New York’ where she will interview ‘A-list musicians and movie stars’ for upcoming packages for The Project.
‘She will be calling from the newly established Hollywood establishment as the Project’s roving correspondent,’ the Australian article alleged on Sunday.
The trip will be combined with the annual vacation that Wilkinson has planned, the report published.

As a result, the trial in question has been rescheduled to October.

Last week it was revealed that Lisa had rented out her 1970s apartment in the Sydney waterfront suburb of Cremorne Point.
Wilkinson rented the one-bedroom property for $770 a week with a deposit of $3,080, Realestate.com.au reports.
