Project host Georgie Tunny reveals what her co-host Waleed Aly is really like in front of the camera
Project star Georgie Tunny has revealed how her shared love of board games has led to her forming a close friendship with ‘thoughtful’ co-host Waleed Aly.
Speaking on the I’m Got News For You Podcast on Monday, Tunny, 31, had nothing but praise for Aly.
“He’s the most caring person I’ve ever met,” she told host Andrew Bucklow.

“And I mean in ‘yes, he’s thoughtful and cares about you like a friend’ but he’s thoughtful in every situation.
‘You can ask any kind of question, any kind of story, and he will always see it from all sides; he’s pretty analytical like that.
‘He’s one of my good friends now and he’s also just a big kid at heart because the way we really became friends and bonded together was just a board game by because we are big nerds.
‘We love a board game, we like escape rooms, we are that kind of people’.

When Bucklow asked Tunny about her favorite Aly story, she recalled enjoying the Harry Potter-themed escape room with her co-star for her 31st birthday in January.
“My favorite movie recently was in January of this year, it was my birthday and my partner organized an escape room for Harry Potter,” she said.
‘I remember I mentioned it to Waleed and he said “Oh my God, can I come?”
Georgie is engaged to actor boyfriend Rob Mills, who is 42 years old, 11 years her senior
‘It was me, Waleed, Robert (her fiance Rob Mills), Nate Burns from ABC, and my friend Donna, a science reporter for The Guardian.
‘I don’t want to brag, but I feel like a group of us were put on this earth to play escape and be a team together.
‘Waleed was there flipping the bookshelves to try and figure out what this meant, so we could find the key to get out and we were literally out of the room in the last century’s time. so I’m very proud of that.’
Georgie recently landed a permanent gig on The Project after impressing the show’s producers when she took on Carrie Bickmore.
Tunny, 31, has appeared on Channel 10’s panel show for the past four years, but recently secured a full-time position after filling Carrie Bickmore while she was on extended leave of absence. this early year.
