Princess Charlotte’s Brooch at Queen Elizabeth’s Funeral Was a Dedication – Hollywood Life

First, Princess Charlotte Wear a meaningful piece of jewelry While attending her great-grandmother, Of Queen Elizabeth II, funeral on September 19. The 7-year-old girl had a horseshoe brooch on the left side of her black dress for the ceremony. It was a special tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, who was a longtime lover of horses and all things equestrian. Queen Elizabeth II personally presented Princess Charlotte with a diamond brooch.

The Queen began riding as a toddler, and was often photographed riding during her 70 years as Queen. In her 96th birthday portrait, the Queen set aside two of her horses, proving that her love for animals also passed into her later years.

Similar tribute to that of Princess Charlotte’s mother, Kate Middletonwho also honors the Queen with her jewelry at the event. Kate wore a pearl necklace and diamond earrings from the Queen’s private collection. She had previously borrowed both pieces from His Majesty, so it was the perfect way to honor her.

At age 7, Charlotte was old enough to attend the funeral with her parents – Kate and Prince William – and brother, Prince George. The youngest child of the family, Prince Louis, 4, did not attend. Charlotte was well behaved as she sat next to her mother during the ceremony, followed by hymns being sung. She wore a hat for the first time when attending the ceremony.

For years, fans have been raving about what Charlotte looked like after her great-grandmother. The Queen, 96, died on September 8 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. However, the funeral is not until 11 days later, after a period of mourning in the UK, the Queen will be buried with her late husband, Prince Philip, who passed away in April 2021 at the age of 99.
