Princess Anne Shares How Queen Elizabeth’s Last Mother’s Day Was – Hollywood Life
Princess Anne remembering her late mother Queen Elizabeth II in a touching tribute on September 13, where she revealed that she had been by the Queen’s side during her final day. The Queen’s only daughter wrote about feeling “humble and uplifting” to accompany her mother “on her final journey”.
Princess Anne, has an older brother King Charles III will now assume the throne, appearing with her mother in a regal portrait posted to the official Royal Instagram. In it, Princess Anne put her arm around the Queen.
The king wore a peach-colored coat and a long plaid skirt. The Royal Princess, as Anne is known, wears a forest green sweater with a collared shirt underneath. Both ladies put on a gentle smile for the photo, appearing royally poised.
In the accompanying message, Princess Anne wrote, “I have been fortunate enough to share the last 24 hours of my dearest Mother’s life. It is an honor and honor to accompany her on the final journeys. Witnessing the love and respect shown by so many on these trails is both humbling and uplifting.”
She went on to say, “We will all share unique memories. I would like to thank each and everyone who shared our sense of loss. We may have been reminded of her presence and contribution to our national identity that we took for granted.
“I am also grateful for the support and understanding given to my dear brother Charles as he accepted The Monarch’s additional responsibilities,” she continued. “To my mother, Queen, thank you.”
Queen Elizabeth II passed away September 8, 2022, ending her seven-decade reign. Following her death, the Royal Family shared a statement that read: “The Queen passed away peacefully at Belmoral this afternoon. The King and Queen will stay at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow. “
The Queen’s funeral is scheduled for Monday, September 19, 2022. The coronation of King Charles III is yet to be scheduled.
