After Harry and Meghan back off royal duties and moved to the United States, interaction between the couple and the royal family ceased to exist. The Sussexes were visiting the UK for charity events when the Queen passed away, but, as previously reported, no plans to visit with William and Kate, nor his biological father.
Although Prince William and Prince Harry, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle respectively, not allowed to attend the vigil, the quartet was reunited early in the week outside Windsor Castle. The two couples greeted the viewers as they watched the tributes to late Queen Elizabeth II. In a statement from Buckingham Palace, a royal spokesman said William, who is now known as the Prince of Wales, “has invited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to join him and the Princess of Wales. Wales” for the walk.
The reunion took place just hours after William witnessed Joining Ceremonywhere his father, King Charles III, was officially declared as sovereign.
