The sons of King Charles III and their wives made a rare joint appearance on Saturday outside Windsor Castle, greeting crowds that had gathered to leave flowers and messages in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.
William and Catherine, Prince and Princess of Wales, and Harry and MeghanThe Duke and Duchess of Sussex, walked along large piles of flowers and memorabilia, studying notes and waving to the wise.
The two brothers had a strained relationship, especially after Harry and Meghan announced in 2020 that they plan to no longer be working royals and moved to the United States. An interview last year with Oprah Winfreyin which Harry and Meghan point out that an unnamed member of the royal family was worried about the color of the unborn baby’s skin while Meghan was pregnant first child, Archiecause even greater fluctuations.
They were in Europe on Thursday for an awards ceremony when the queen’s death was announced. Harry rushes to Balmoral Castle in Scotland to be with his family as the country begins to mourn the queen.
