Price modified Toyota Hilux, base variant now more affordable 3.6 lakh


Toyota Kirloskar Motor has adjusted the price of the Hilux pickup and the range now starts from $30.40 lakh (old gallery, India). The Toyota Hilux came to India last year for $33.99 lakh and the latest revision makes it about $3.6 thousand cheaper than before. That said, the price drop is only for the base variant, while the top-end variants have seen price increases.

The Toyota Hilux high-speed manual is now more expensive because $1.35 lakh and currently priced at $37.15 lakh, while Hilux High AT is more expensive by $1.10 lakh and can have for $37,90 thousand. All prices are ex showroom, Delhi. Pre-orders for the second batch of the Hilux started in India earlier this year, albeit at an older price point.

The Toyota Hilux is one of the most reliable pickup trucks sold globally and holds a strong reputation for reliability. This model is underpinned by the sturdy IMV ladder chassis, which is also the foundation of the Fortuner and Innova Crysta. Power comes from the familiar 4-cylinder, 2.8-liter diesel engine tuned for 201 hp and 420 Nm of torque on a 6-speed manual transmission, torque up up to 500 Nm on the 6-speed automatic transmission version. The Hilux comes standard with a 4×4, along with a low-range transmission, electronic locking front and rear differentials, a 29-degree approach and 26-degree exit angle, and 700 mm of water wading ability.

In terms of features, the Toyota Hilux gets LED headlights with DRLs, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, leather seats, rear parking sensors , tire angle monitor, traction control, seven airbags. Toyota offers a 3-year/100,000 km warranty for the Hilux as standard.
