The world continues to learn about what is going on in Ukraine after Russian President Putin decided to invade Ukraine shortly after announcing the special military operation. New information about a statement made by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has people send well wishes to the men of Ukraine. Based on CNNPresident Zelenskyy ordered a ban on men aged 18-60 from leaving the country. This is so men can serve in the army if they enlist, it’s the law that if you can fight, you have to fight.
The statement was signed late on Thursday. President Zelensky said to ensure the defense of the state, maintain the combat readiness and mobilization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations. A large-scale mobilization was required, including the capital Kyiv and all major Ukrainian cities. In addition, the statement also states that the mobilization will be done within 90 days from the effective date of this Decree.
The mobilization also instructed the Security Service of Ukraine to take counterintelligence measures during the general mobilization. It also ordered conscripts, reservists for military service, to hand them over to military units and organizations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” and other state security services. The statement continued, “In particular, men between the ages of 18-60, Ukrainian citizens, are not allowed to leave the Ukrainian border. This provision will remain in effect during the period of martial law. We ask the public to consider this information.”
