Powerful Earthquake Strikes Turkey – The New York Times

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Turkey early Monday morning and was followed by a strong aftershock.
The quake struck at 4:17 a.m. near the city of Nurdagi, according to the United States Geological Survey. It is about 10 miles deep. An aftershock measured 6.7.
In one review, organ says there is a potential for significant casualties and possibly hundreds of deaths.
