Post-mastery care summit held at thoroughbred molting

Post-Profession Summit, a joint effort of the Retirement Race Horse Project (RRP), Post-Professional Alliance (TAA), Jockey Club’s Maturation Incentive Program (TIP) ) and Thoroughbred Charity of America (TCA), will return with a mature molt on October 11, 2022 at Kentucky Horse Park. The Summit will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the TCA Covered Arena Lounge, the day before the start of preliminary competition at the Horse Project National Symposium and thorough makeover Retirement Race, presented by Pure American Charity.

The 2022 Intensive Care Post-Care Summit will take a hands-on workshop approach, allowing attendees (both in person and virtual) to problem-solve through different scenarios. that individuals and organizations often encounter during aftercare. Subject experts will help guide participants through a series of practice scenarios including biosecurity best practices, disaster response, facilities issues , etc

RRP’s chief development officer, Erin O’Keefe, said: “In order to bring the most value to Aftercare Summit participants, both individuals and nonprofits, we decided to take a go at it. take a more interactive approach to our themes this year,” said RRP director of development, Erin O’Keefe. “By working through different scenarios, we hope that participants will proactively determine how to apply existing themes to their own program, while also having the opportunity to receive input. contributions and guidance from our subject matter experts. We hope participants find this new format both engaging and educational. “

The cost of participating in the Summit is $10 per person, which will be donated and given 50-50 to a care organization after being randomly selected with attendance. Registration will also include access to the conference’s live stream via Zoom so attendees can join from anywhere in the world.

Thoroughbred Makeover is a competition to retrain horses in the first year of transition from racing. More than 300 horses are expected to attend and compete across ten disciplines, with a Thoroughbred Makeup Champion crowned at the conclusion of the Finals on Saturday, October 15.
