The Cayenne is the brand’s best-selling model in 2022.
At the Festival of Dreams event in Mumbai, porsche announced that 2022 is the best sales year. The German manufacturer sold 779 cars and SUVs for the whole year and their EVs, taycanaccounts for 10 percent of all sales.

Porsche sales in 2022
Porsche saw 64% year-on-year growth in 2022, with its SUVs – Macan and Cayenne – saw a growth of 69% year-on-year. Of these, Porsche sold 399 Cayennes last year, making it the brand’s best-selling model. By comparison, the Macan is the brand’s best-selling model in 2021 with 187 units sold, accounting for about 39% of total sales.
In India launch of 718 Cayman GT4 RS, said Manolito Vujicic, brand manager for Porsche India, “in the whole first year of selling the Taycan, we sold 78 units”. This is a significant figure for a premium car, let alone EV, which starts at Rs 1.53 crore (old showroom). Taycan is launched in India in November 2021.
Furthermore, Porsche currently has a total of eight dealerships nationwide, with three new dealerships opening in 2022 alone. These dealers will also offer two Porsche programs – Exclusive Production and Approved. browse – at all of their dealers nationwide.
Porsche cars sold in India
Porsche India sells 45 models and variants in India including sports cars, sports sedans and SUVs. The 911 models are priced from Rs 1.72 crore-3.24 Rs crore, while prices for 718 The series ranges between Rs 1.36 crore-Rs 2.54 crore. While the Cayenne has a starting price of Rs 1.26 crore, the Macan has a starting price of Rs 83.21 lakh. Prices for the two Porsche sedans are Rs 1.53 crore and Rs 1.58 crore for the Taycan and Panamera respectively.
