It’s rare that when I sit down to write a review, I start to recall and crave the foods I’ve eaten. POP THAI is one of the very few places that captures my heart with great food. Inspired by 1970s Bangkok, the restructured menu presents authentic Thai flavors in a pop avatar with a blend of modern Asian techniques. POP THAI is the brainchild of Computer Scientist, Pratinav Meera Pratap Singh, of House of Chi Hospitality. A deeply rooted love for Thai food and its culture has led to the birth of POP THAI.
I start my meal with Midnight chili oil chicken fuzzy and crackling in every bite. Succulent, juicy chicken alongside some rich sauces, mixed with just the right amount of chili make the perfect appetizers. Containing a certain reverence for shrimp, Grilled Kaffir Lime Gyoza Perfect to beat my cravings. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, moist and tender, and tasted delicious. Another shrimp dish that attracted me is Shrimp donut – a never-before-seen avatar of shrimp in the form of a donut! Crunchy and lightly flavored, the savory donuts made me crave more.

For Mains, for the first time I have Pop Chicken Sliders. Amidst the incredible spread, I found this one a bit bland for my taste. I feel it could do better with some outstanding flavors and sauces. But Pop Pad Thai Noodles proved to be a pretty good treat for my taste buds again. Ping with a refreshing taste, these noodle dishes are a must-try. I ended my meal with Multi-layer black rice puddingIt’s not too sweet and has a distinct nutty flavor that suits my taste very well.
