Earlier, residents of Grand Omaxe in Noida’s Sector 93B, angered by the riot created by Mr. Tyagi’s supporters, also took to the streets in large numbers and protested the inaction of the police.

“I’m ashamed to say this is our government. Find out how these 15 men got into the residential area,” Mr. Sharma told reporters by phone.

Mr. Tyagi, who faces a police case, 48 hours after the incident was first reported. The National Women’s Commission also alerted the police to arrest him.

The police arrested the politician’s supporters.

The woman at Grand Omaxe asked Mr. Tyagi to remove the palm trees he had planted in the park area of ​​the residence. Mr. Tyagi has been involved in a dispute with socialites since 2019. They accused him of trespassing on public areas and parks and threatening them.

BJP has left Mr Tyagi after his photos with top party leaders including JP Nadda and Swatantra Dev Singh appeared on social media.
