Residents of Grand Omaxe in Noida’s Sector 93B confront supporters of Shrikant Tyagi

Days after a politician abused and pushed a woman on camera at a residential area in Noida, the man’s supporters showed up at the compound, chanting slogans and asking for her address. woman. The defendant, Shrikant Tyagi, testified that he was a member of BJP’s Kisan Morcha and had posted pictures of himself with senior BJP leaders; however, the BJP has said that he is not affiliated with them.
District Judge Noida Suhas LY and Police Chief Noida Alok Kumar Singh visited the residential complex and met with residents. The District Judge said the Noida government would attach Mr. Tyagi’s assets.
Earlier, residents of Grand Omaxe in Noida’s Sector 93B, angered by the riot created by Mr. Tyagi’s supporters, also took to the streets in large numbers and protested the inaction of the police.
In a video taken on mobile devices, police standing between residents and supporters of Mr Tyagi shouting slogans, are seen trying to get the situation under control.
Residents pointed out the brazenness of the politicianwho, despite being caught on camera abusing and shoving a woman, is said to have sent people to support and threaten the woman and residents at night in the middle of the housing complex.
A Noida MP and BJP leader Mahesh Sharma apparently told reporters that he questioned police how the politician’s supporters, who were on the run, got into the compound and threatened residents, even going so far as to inquire about the woman’s apartment.
“I’m ashamed to say this is our government. Find out how these 15 men got into the residential area,” Mr. Sharma told reporters by phone.
Mr. Tyagi, who faces a police case, 48 hours after the incident was first reported. The National Women’s Commission also alerted the police to arrest him.
The police arrested the politician’s supporters.
The woman at Grand Omaxe asked Mr. Tyagi to remove the palm trees he had planted in the park area of the residence. Mr. Tyagi has been involved in a dispute with socialites since 2019. They accused him of trespassing on public areas and parks and threatening them.
BJP has left Mr Tyagi after his photos with top party leaders including JP Nadda and Swatantra Dev Singh appeared on social media.
