Poland awarded new contract for NAREW . air defense system

European missile developer MBDA has announced that the PGZ-NAREW consortium has entered into an agreement with the company on the schedule and terms of delivery of parts of the NAREW system from its British partner.

The contract will allow the integration of the MBDA launcher and missile with the C2 radar station and communication and command system produced by the Polish defense industry.

The agreement between the PGZ-NAREW Consortium and MBDA UK is a confirmation of the UK partner’s willingness to quickly and efficiently supply the effector group – CAMM rockets and launchers – that will be integrated by Consortium members as part of of the contract ending April 14 of this year, for the delivery of two short-range anti-aircraft fire units to the Polish Armed Forces according to an expedited formula.

“Today’s contract allows us to confirm the continued schedule of integration work, the progress of which will determine how quickly we will be able to strengthen the country’s air defense capabilities. The NAREW program provides the development and delivery of components and subsystems for 23 short-range air defense missile systems.
