I grew up on metal hair, but for some reason, I always felt Poison overcame a certain level of cheesy that I simply couldn’t get over (probably because I grew up in the dark). Rock love with Bret Michaels era). Somehow, Mötley Crüe is fine, KISS is fine, even Dokken is OK – but Poison? It’s a bridge too far.
But then, I heard “Talk Dirty to Me” on the radio the other day and found myself singing along with all my heart. So use this as your constant reminder that a little cheese is a great thing.
