PM Modi’s action packed 72 hours in Gujarat, here are the details | Gujarat Election News

AHMEDABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be traveling to Gujarat this weekend and is expected to participate in at least eight interstate shows from Saurashtra to Surat.
The highlight of Prime Minister Modi’s visit is the visit Somnath Temple on 20 November. The Prime Minister is also the chairman of the Somnath Temple Trust.
On the evening of November 19 after landing in Gujarat, the Prime Minister will address a rally in Valsad.
On November 20, after visiting the Temple of Somnath, he is scheduled to speak at four rallies in the Saurashtra region. Sites have been completed at Veraval, Dhorarji, Amreli and Botad.
Incidentally, in the last parliamentary election, the BJP failed to win a single seat in these constituencies in Saurashtra. The BJP won the state polls but failed to break through this bastion of traditionally voting for Congress.
On Day 3, Prime Minister Modi will hold three rallies in Surendranagar, Bharuch and Navsari.
While Bharuch has been the constituency of tall former congressman Ahmed Patel in the past, BJP state president CR Patil, from Navsari won this Lok Sabha seat by a huge margin.
Incidentally, MP Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is also scheduled to visit Navsari on November 21, the same day that Prime Minister Modi is expected to arrive in Navsari.
Prime Minister Modi, who is from Gujarat, is also expected to hold closed-door meetings with state leaders during his stay to further promote the party in the western state.
In Gujarat, the BJP has been in power for the past 27 years with Narendra Modi as the state’s longest-serving premier.
This time, the party under the leadership of Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and CR Patil is aiming to win over 140 seats.
The state has long been a stronghold of the BJP and the party is confident of returning and forming a government for a seventh term.
The state of Gujarat has 182 constituencies that will conduct voting in two phases on December 1 and 5. The counting of votes will take place on December 8, which coincides with the results date of Himachal Pradesh.
