PlayStation VR2 launch window game, The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR, delayed to March

The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR has been delayed.
PlayStation revealed 11 new PlayStation VR2 games coming back in November, which includes a new entry in Supermassive Games’ The Dark Pictures anthology series called Switchback VR. Supermassive released Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, a PlayStation VR rail shooter, in 2016, and Switchback VR is its spiritual successor. When Switchback VR was revealed late last year, no official release date was attached – PlayStation just called it the PSVR2 launch window title.
However, Supermassive Games will release Switchback VR later than expected, as it has been delayed to March 16. That’s a short delay since PSVR2 launches on February 22 and any games in the series. Its launch window will likely launch around that time. As for why, Supermassive Games said they need more time to perfect this rail shooting game.
“Switchback VR is Supermassive Games’ most ambitious VR project to date, taking players through five massive worlds branching through multiple terrifying roller coasters based on the Dark Pictures franchise,” one announcement from the Switchback VR team said. “Our goal has always been to release a new PSVR 2 headset during launch, but it’s extremely important to us that you, the players, get the most immersive, terrifying experience possible. when you put it on for your first trip in Switchback VR.
“With this in mind, we’ve made the difficult decision to set a new launch date for March 16, 2023. Thanks for all your excitement and patience – it really means a lot. We can’t wait to reveal more of our villain’s roller coaster to hell, and check out this space for a video of our new gameplay features coming out eye.”
As you can see, along with the delayed Switchback VR news is the revelation that we’ll learn more about the game soon in a new video dedicated to the gameplay features.
