Pimlico Spring Stakes worth $3.8 million

Pimlico Spring Meet, featured by GI Preakness S., will offer 16 stakes – 10 classifications – worth $3.8 million in wallets.
The $1.5 million Preakness maintains a program of 10 shares, six shares classified, valued at $2.75 million as of May 20.
meadowThe low bet on Preakness Day is a $250,000 GII S. Dinner for kids 3 years old and up 1/16 miles of grass. Held for the 12th time, the Dinner Party is Pimlico’s oldest race and the eighth oldest in the country, first held in 1870.
Other classified support stakes are GIII Chick Lang S. $200,000 for 3-year-old six-feathered sprinter, $150,000 GIII Gallorette S. for terriers and mares three years of age and older. 1/16 mile ride on grass and $150,000 GIII Maryland Sprint S. in six clips for kids 3 years of age and older.
The $250,000 GII Black-Eyed Susan S. GII’s 98th run will once again take its traditional place as the May 20 Preakness Eve card feature. The Friday card boasts six stakes, four classifications, worth $1.05 million in wallets, including $300,000 GIII Pimlico Special, $150,000 GIII Miss Preakness S. and $150,000 GIII Allaire du Pont S.
The Pimlico Spring Encounter is scheduled to open on May 12 and run through May 31.
