Setting up a motion-sensing smart light is what makes setting up a smart home easier to do. But finding the right location for the motion sensor is itself a daunting task, and finding the right location can be a tedious task. It seems Signowned company Philips Hue, Wiz and other smart light brands introduced a new feature to their Wiz smart lights called SpaceSense as part of the Wiz v2 app update. New technology converts Wiz smart lights into motion-sensing lights without any additional hardware.

What is the SpaceSense feature and how does it work
SpaceSense is a software feature that will appear on the Wiz app. This feature will be added via a new Wiz app update later this month. The SpaceSense feature brings motion sensing features to all compatible Wiz smart lights including ceiling bulbs, smart bulbs, etc.
SpaceSense technology uses Wi-Fi signal strength to detect movement in the surrounding and uses it to Turn lights On or Off. It detects changes in signal strength due to movement in the room and uses it to detect motion. As soon as motion is detected, it will automatically turn on the light and turn off when there is no movement in the room. This all happens right from the Wiz app, and there’s no need to install additional hardware for it.
According to the company, this feature will require users to install two or more Wiz lights in a room.
According to the company, the Wiz SpaceSense feature will be an opt-in feature, and users will be free to choose whether they want to use it or not. In addition, it will also allow users to adjust the sensitivity for the SpaceSense feature.
