Here’s why you should worry about state and local pensions. Some 26 million people are relying on state and local pension plans to care for them during their retirement years, but public pensions could face major financial shortfallaccording to two economics professors.
Carer burnout is a crisis. This new state program has a way to help. Research shows that 38% of caregivers feel replacement service available would be helpful, but only 14% of caregivers reported using them.
Nursing home? No, thanks. 70% of people surveyed don’t want to. A survey found that the majority of older Canadians are less likely to go to nursing homes after the advent of COVID-19.
