Meanwhile, Afridi also opened up to the idea of having three captains in different competitions for Pakistan. While saying he is not in favor of such a move, Afridi has fought for the idea of a captain leading the side in ODI and Test cricket, while another captain is given the charge in the shortest form. He also supports Babar Azam as captain of Pakistan.
“I believe Babar Azam has many opportunities to improve his captaincy. I am not in favor of having three different captains for different game formats, instead suggesting naming one captain. for ODI and Test cricket and a separate captain for the T20s,” Afridi said.
