PBA: Jamal Franklin finds his footing amid Converge’s unbeaten start

ANTIPOLO—After two games against Converge in the PBA Governors’ Cup, Import Jamaal Franklin felt at home with FiberXers.
Following the team’s 111-109 win over favorites Magnolia at Ynares Antipolo Center on Sunday, Franklin strode to acclimatize to the PBA despite his full physical display in the tough postseason.
“Adjustment was cool. This is a bit more physical than the previous game but that’s it. Some teams will be more physical,” said Franklin.
“It was a good win. Our players came forward, Alec (Stockton) played well, Justin (Arana) played well. It was a good win for the team, we just have to keep doing this.
Unlike in his first match with Terrafirma where he has to drop 42 pointsFranklin was better complemented by his team on Sunday and only needed to contribute 26 points.
Stockton and Arana got their names 18th and 8th on the way to Converge .’s third win in a row.
In the fourth inning, with the Hotshots closing in on the Aldin Ayo-led team with a score of 108-105, Franklin sank a bitterly contested trio to put the FiberXers ahead six, 111-105, with one left. minutes four seconds.

“I feel comfortable with those shots. I feel like that’s why FiberXers brought me here so I had to take those shots but at the same time, my teammates held it back. It’s a team game, one team and one goal.”
NLEX coach Frankie Lim reveals that there is uncertainty about the length of the Jonathon Simmons’ working time in PBA. Franklin, on the other hand, assures that it won’t happen to him, and the Converge team is now undefeated.
“I agree. I come here to play basketball. I told my team and management that I was ready. I’m trying to win games and make history for this team,” the 31-year-old said.
“I don’t know what’s going on with Jonathon, but on my side we’re all in and trying to win the championship,” he added.
