PBA: Christian Standhardinger paces BPC race, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson leads imports

MANILA, Philippines-Barangay Ginebra’s Christian Standhardinger and TNT import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson emerged as the early leads to winning the PBA Governors’ Cup top honors.
The tireless forward Gin Kings is leading the Conference Player of the Year race with 42.8 statistical points, while the NBA veteran is leading the Best Imports derby with 59.0.
Standhardinger performed brilliantly for the defending champions, averaging 22.9 points and 10.2 rebounds while filling the void left by Japeth Aguilar’s absence.
The MVP of the Commissioners Cup Final was followed by San Miguel highlights CJ Perez (39.3 SP) and June Mar Fajardo (37.6) in second and third. TNT’s Calvin Oftana surprises in fourth place (36.1) while the club’s top scorer is fifth in the standings at the end of the elimination period.

Banished Converge imported Jamaal Franklin and Antonio Hester of Magnolia ranked 2nd in reinforcements with 56 SP. NorthPort’s Kevin Murphy is fourth with 53.3 while San Miguel Beer’s Cameron Clark is fifth with 51.8.
Ginebra’s Jamie Malonzo, Terrafirma’s Juami Tiongson, Converge’s Maverick Ahanmisi, Magnolia’s Calvin Abueva and TNT’s Mikey Williams — in that order — make up the bottom half of the top 10.
Governors’ Cup MVP and BPC Scottie Thompson tied for 11th with NLEX rookie Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser.
Meanwhile, the beloved Justin Brownlee finished sixth in the Best Import race.
The rankings depend on which teams will advance further into the knockout stages.
