Paul Wilmot Communications is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Senior Account Executive to join our thriving Fashion team, working with men’s and women’s fashion and accessories brands. The ideal candidate will assist senior staff with brand launches, product placement, executive filings, press previews, large-scale events, and junior staff management.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a wealth of experience with men’s and women’s fashion and accessories clients, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in this field. This candidate will manage a comprehensive list of editorial contacts including Assistants, Contributors and Executives in fashion, accessories and lifestyle journalism, and have the ability to negotiate and secure. Confidential features, director profiles, design stories, product placements and ongoing coverage on behalf of clients. This candidate will have unsurpassed knowledge of the evolving media landscape and regularly contribute to new ideas for employment opportunities. Responsibilities include:
- Lead customer relationships with support from junior staff
- Keep the account active, using the current PR plan as a framework
- Handles the majority of all pitches for clients – including strategizing for larger-scale editorial opportunities; Continuously update and monitor status reports to ensure pitching efforts are on track
- Research potential partnership opportunities / arrange meetings with strategic partners (including, but not limited to, speaking engagements, endorsements, events, etc.)
- Attend virtual department meetings armed with pertinent updates, customer issues, applicable news to share with the team
- Enhance a broad understanding of digital and social media and its overall importance
- An in-depth understanding and awareness of current influential blogs and bloggers and their content
- Search, coordinate and process virtual desk appointments (bring an assistant when you can), preview collections, etc.
- Insights into media reporting for a particular brand and its commercial initiatives using Meltwater, Cision, Google Reader, etc.
- Knowledge of Watches, Accessories and Fashion is a plus
- Ability to communicate at a professional level with top-level executives
- The ability to produce FOH for events and fashion shows on behalf of the client
