Frankie Dettori weaved some of his old magic as he guided Mimikyu (February 13) from start to finish in winning Group Two Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster for John & Thady Gosden.
A runner who was very well supported throughout the afternoon, Dettori chose to tackle the three-year-old in the back yard after she ran so nimble at York last month.

Finishing by a wide margin, Believe In Love placed third with Roger Varian and Yesyes in fourth.
John Gosden spoke to Racing sports cars in the sky after the race and highlighted two potential picks for his mare, including a Group One goal at Ascot on Championship Day.
“She’s in two races, the one mile-long Prix Royallieu and six on the Saturday of the Arc weekend or we could be in Group One on Championship Day,” said Gosden.
“Interestingly, her sister Journey also won that race.”

“That shouldn’t be! I think I’ll look like an idiot if I change my mind. To be honest with you, I hope wherever she goes, she can keep making progress.
“It’s a difficult thing but people care more about my retirement now than when I was training!”

“I told Karl [Burke] I told him before that I wouldn’t fight him. I tried to get him back to Chester one day and he just ran a little bit with me and didn’t finish the race.
“He’s solid, a handsome horse and will only get better with age.”
Bonny Angel (4 / 1f) started Women’s Day off to a brilliant start, clear to have nursery of fillings in stunning fashion for John Fahy and the Clive Cox team.
Always looking forward, the two-year-old made an impressive leap forward on the drizzle, sending her and Coco Jouds into second place, and Misty Blues three long stretches back in third.
