Pancreatic cancer: Painful symptoms may indicate a spreading tumor
Depending on where the cancer has spread, symptoms can vary. But one sign of a spreading tumor is pain, according to Cancer Research UK.
The charity describes the pain as “gnawing” and notes that it can be constant – caused by the breakdown of the living tissues that make up the skeleton.
The area of the body that can be most affected is the back. According to Charity, pain in this part of the body can be persistent.
However, according to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), this back pain can also occur when the cancer hasn’t even spread. The healthy body warns the pain is worse when eating or lying down.
