Paddy Walsh retires as CEO of AIR

Paddy Walsh, chief executive of the Irish Racers’ Association, will step down early next year after two decades of being organized.

AIR is an independent, not-for-profit organization representing the owners and operators of Ireland’s 26 racecourses. He will retire in March 2023.

He said, “I will officially retire on March 31, 2023. In the interim, there are a few important months of work ahead of us. In order to find the best possible candidate for this position, we have decided to make this announcement sooner rather than later and start the hiring process well before I leave. “

After receiving recommendations from executive recruitment companies, the Principal Linkions (www.principalconnections.ie) have been appointed by the Horse Racing Association of Ireland to handle the search for their next chief executive.

Principal Linkion is part of Agilium Worldwide LLC, which ranks as one of the world’s leading global executive search groups. The position is expected to be advertised in the media and on the AIR website in the coming weeks.
