Johnston Racing’s Patrick ‘Paddy’ Trainor was named Employee of the Year at the Godolphin Stable & Stable Employee Awards on Monday. Hosted by Oli Bell, the ceremony was held virtual and broadcast live on Racing TV. The awards are organized by the British Equestrian Authority (BHA) in conjunction with media partners Car racing and Racing TV.
Trainor will receive £10,000, the same amount split between his colleagues at Johnston Racing, as well as the Godolphin Trophy. Earlier tonight, Trainor, who has been with Johnston Racing for 23 years, won the Rider/Groom Prize and £5,000, with the same amount again divided among Johnston Racing staff. An Industry Trainer, Trainor works with less experienced members of the Johnston team to develop their skills and increase their knowledge of equine welfare.
