Pack up and leave: Dyson workers are shocked by the sudden layoff

CNA reported that employees were required to attend private meetings via email. The report added that an employee who wished to remain anonymous said: “An HR representative in the conference room told us the position was redundant and told us to pack up and leave.” Furthermore, the same employee also noticed multiple envelopes, suggesting that several other workers may have faced similar experiences. CNA quoted this employee as saying: “Everyone was shocked and their morale was low because they didn’t know when it would be their turn.”
The layoffs at Dyson are said to have occurred in the manufacturing and procurement sectors, leaving employees facing low morale despite Dyson’s efforts to promote investment in Singapore, its home country. Surname.

Dyson responded to the reports
The Independent reported that a Dyson spokesperson, in addressing the concerns, said the company continuously evaluates its teams to determine the right technical workforce. The spokesperson also stated that Dyson is working to deliver growth and remains committed to Singapore.
So far, there are no confirmed numbers on how many employees have been laid off, but this contributes to a growing trend of tech layoffs worldwide. Big brands included MicrosoftCisco, AppleGoPro and even Paytm have laid off employees.
